A little update about my life. I recently dropped my bandana line that you can find HERE on etsy or you can go to www.wastedhypeshop.com for free domestic shipping. A little side note: all the money I get from blogging and my ETSY SHOP are going to opening up my own boutique clothing store. The influencer world can be gone in a minute and I want to have something tangible to share with you all. One day you will be walking in to Wasted Hype Stores and shopping my e-commerce site. That being said I am extremely overwhelmed by the amount of you that have already purchased one or even several at a time. I am heading out tomorrow to source more unique patterns for ya'll. Now about this look. Lately I am all about the tucked in look. Almost anything I wear now is tucked in to my jeans. It's a classic vibe that I really don't want to go back out of style again. Anyways, hope you all enjoy your easter weekend! I am coloring eggs tonight with the fam then typical easter shenanigans on Sunday. Should I do a easter sale?? Let me know if that sounds good! Happy Easter everyone!
Lately my style has been changing but of course staying true to my roots. I am tending to dress up and downs. For example...slacks with a ten dollar tank and some leather sneakers. I have always said no way to tank tops because I always thought they were reserved for gym douchebags or frat bros. But lately I've had a change of mind. The thing is when it comes down to it, you have to wear the tank top, not let the tank top wear you. I bough my tank over sized, tucked that thing in and ended up looking like a street style baddie. This is how to wear tank tops for SS18. Shop what I am wearing below!
It's finally spring! Man, I was so over Winter... I mean its only the 2nd day of Spring it's not like the birds are chirping or flowers are blooming yet but knowing that its technically not "Winter" makes me stoked about the Spring fashion and the thought of warmer weather. I posted this vintage bomber down below that I got from the Long Beach Antique Market a few weeks ago and you all loved it! It gives me major Danny Zuko vibes if ya know what I mean. That being said down below I posted a bunch of bomber jackets so you can get that not your typical bomber jacket look without heading out and searching like a mad man. Perfect bomber jackets for transitioning in to Spring 2018.
This season I am all about color matching and blocking. Effortless chic in the dessert is my vibe! Down below is what I would wear to Coachella for all three days and then alternatives because I am so picky. Everything is shoppable! Leave a comment telling my your favorite look!
1. Save, Save, Save
I know this is the obvious and that is why I am getting it out of the way first. For me, I have a base I make every month and when there is a surplus at the end of the month I put that directly in to my savings account. To make a savings work, you have to pretend like it is NOT THERE! This is the hardest part because transferring money in to your savings is easy...leaving it there and spending it on things you don't need is the part people struggle with.2. Invest
There are many apps out there that help save too! I use Acorns. Acorns is an app that invests your money for you. You decide how much gets transferred every week/month and it also rounds up your change every purchase you make. It's easily controllable and the investments are little to absolutely no risks. You'll forget it's taking a few dollars here and there and next thing you know you have hundreds after a few months. I set my Acorns to take $5.00 a week and then all my round ups on all my debit and credit cards.3. Always Have An Emergency Fund
We all have to accept that sometimes life happens. You lose your job, get in an accident that insurance isn’t fully covering, car needs new tires, etc etc. And if you don’t have the money saved for these type of emergencies, you’re going to be totally screwed. The rule of thumb is to have at least 3 months of your income saved, but if you can you should have about 6 months.
4. Don’t Stop Searching For Opportunity
Even if you love your job to death, always keep at least one eye out for other job opportunities that may come your way. Even go on some interviews to get a sense of what positions are open in your field and how qualified you are for them. It helps you to know your worth. If you have Saturday off but someone offers a little gig for you to make hundred or so then do it and again put it in your savings and pretend like you never had it.
5. Take A Risk
If you’re in your 20s or 30s, this is the perfect time to take career risks. You’re still at such a young age that if you take a risk and it doesn’t pay off, your life won’t be ruined. But if it does pay off, then you just helped your future. Go back to school, change your major, take that new job that you are unsure about. These things can really open up some doors for you in the future. For me I started blogging as a hobby and taking cool photos, then I realized people started liking them and following along. Now I do sponsored post and it's my little side hustle. ALWAYS have a side hustle.
6. A Side Hustle
One should always have a side hustle. For me it's this blog. For others its maybe investing in stocks, selling handmade goods, or even selling old clothes on Poshmark because they are a shopaholic.
7. Invest In Yourself
Just because you finished your four years in school and got a bachelors degree doesn’t mean you should stop learning. Education definitely cost money but in the long run knowledge is wealth. in many ways. Even if you didn't go to college like myself, always take the opportunity to learn something new. Continue to take classes to further yourself, there are plenty of online classes as well that will teach to advance in your career, life, etc.
8. Live Within Your Means
This is one of the most important lessons of all. The majority of people spend more money than they can *cough cough people of Los Angeles* and ultimately get into debt that they can barely get out of. If you can’t afford that Louis Vuitton wallet, don’t get it! If you’re making sixty thousands dollars a year but spending seventy, you’re in big trouble. I cannot stress this enough.
9. Start Thinking About Retirement
The sooner you start putting money away for retirement, the better off you will be when you do retire. Because of compound interest, a little chunk of change can grow into a mound of cash if you start retiring in your 20s. You don’t want to be in your 60s and have to start stressing about money, you should be relaxing on the beach wondering what your next drink should be.
10. Treat Yourself
Don’t spend your life stressing about money all the time, remember to take some time to spend on yourself because you deserve it. Go get a beer with your friends or buy that shirt you’ve been eyeing for a while, you are allowed to treat yourself every now and then. For me I go out and have a day once a month where I go buy something for my closet, go out to dinner with friends, maybe hit the bars after.
Coachella, do it right! This article is all about the essentials for this season at Coachella. Don't forget to check out my new line of bandanas HERE for festival season! Thank you so much for the support already!
1. Bandanas- First off these are very fashionable when tied around the neck, wrists, bag etc. But they also come in handy when the desert sand starts to pick up. If you have been to Coachella before then you know what’s coming. Thousands walking the same paths for 3 days straight stirs up the dirt and huge winds pass through Coachella Valley making it sometime impossible to even see. Use this to cover you nose and mouth and tie it in the back of your head. Trust me.. you will wish you listened. Here are bananas that I handmade that you can purchase available HERE.
2. Light flannel or jacket- I know what you're thinking. It can reach up to 80 degrees with sweat everywhere, I’m not wearing a flannel.”. But you really should, tie it around your waist during the day. It can get really chilly at night and after a day in the sun, walking and possibly drinking all day, your body will want something cozy when you're having that long walk back to shuttles, buses, taxis, uber/lyft. It takes awhile to get out of the festival.
3. Shoes- Honestly I think the best pair of shoes to wear to a festival are some good old chucks/converse or some vans. These two type of shoes look great clean but sometimes look way better beat up and dirty. Don’t ruin your new Gucci or Adidas.. trust me.. you will regret it. Unless you want your shoes stepped on, drinks spilt, that late night pizza that your friend dropped on your $300 shoes.

4. Fanny pack/bum bag-First of all like its an easy way to carry all your shit. But secondly, 90's vibes are all the rage this year. Wear that fanny pack ad rock it. By the way...I bought a purse the other day... and wore it as a side satchel...I killed it at the event. Don't be afraid to step out of the norm.
5. Sunglasses: I would go for something with coverage, I would say bring a cheaper but nice pair of sunnies. If you lose a very nice pair which you probably will, you'll be bummed out. You can’t find plenty of cheap glasses all over the Internet that you wouldn’t mind losing. Don’t worry about the designer brands, save those for later.
Spring is here... well basically in LA it is! Spring is my favorite for fashion, I love dressing in minimal layers or just throwing on a t-shirt and jeans. This season I partnered with Topman and we are talking all things denim. The quality is insane for the price and they hug my legs and fit like a glove.
You guys know me and how obsessed I am with denim in general. Its a classic look and a must have in your wardrobe. The Indigo Stretch Skinny Jeans I'm wearing has a tapered look which I love, I rolled my cuffs twice because I love the showed ankle look and did I mention they are only $60! I paired this denim with Topman Blue and Burgundy Stipe Short Sleeve Shirt. Bold prints are all the rage this Spring so make sure to browse around their site, they have so many prints that I love. I always have to have some type of Jewelry so I threw on the Topman Disc Multirow Necklace. It comes with 3 separate necklaces and I decided to wear them all of course! Make sure to check out their Jeans Fit Guide when shopping, it helps so much!
This post was sponsored by Topman and opinions are my own.
Every year Spring comes around and we all kinda know what to do to play it safe. You know florals for spring blah blah blah. But this year at New York Fashion Week I saw some trends that stood out collection after collection. The style now it becoming edgier and more different than ever. You have to have seen those ugly Balenciaga space shoes. I linked those Balenciaga shoes for reference here. They have the high fashion bloggers rockin' them or... I mean...paid to rock them. Sorry I just can't get on board with it. But that is the cool thing about style, everyone has their own opinion. Anyways listed down below are the 6 Men's Fashion Trends for Spring 2018 down below. Enjoy!
